CHAPTER SEVEN

Wade

I tried to be calm but I could not deny the fact that I mad at Amy and it would not go away no matter how hard I tried. Even my chauffeur had sensed it. He was unusually quiet, making no comment about the weather or politics, or the night’s sport’s game.

It took me a while to remember that I had yelled at him when I had told him to take Amy and I home. He deserved an apology but the time wasn’t right and I hated to change the dynamics of our work relationship. So- an end of the month bonus. I decided.

The drive home was longer that day because I was more aware of the time, unable to get out of my own head. I looked to Amy but she was already on her way up. I followed after her. She came into the sitting room and dropped her hand bag onto the sofa before heading to the kitchen. I took off my jacket and closed the door before going after her.

“Amy,” I called to her but she didn’t answer me.

Coming to the kitchen, I found her helping herself to a glass of water. “I was calling your name,” I said to her, feeling my voice rise in my chest in anger. I was still mad at her and she acted as though she cared nothing for it.

When she was done with the glass of water, she brushed past me and tried to make for the door. No, you don’t. I put my hand in her path to stop her from getting out. Her eyes turned and flashed in anger at me, but I was angrier.

“Explain yourself,” I demanded of her.

“I have nothing to say to you, Wade,” Amy said, turning away from me, but I wasn’t letting her go anywhere until I had gotten an answer out of her.

When she realized that I was more stubborn, she fessed up. “I just need you to let me be right now, just leave me alone,” she said first.

“What is that supposed to mean?” I asked her. They were familiar words but put together and spoken out of the lips of the woman I loved, I got confused.

“It means I don’t want to be with you anymore.”

What? I watched her, waiting and hoping she would change her mind and call it a mood swing, but she stared back at me with daunting eyes. She was serious and deadly so too. I had to react and the first feeling that swept over me was anger.

“You can’t decide when this relationship starts or when it ends!”

“And you get to decide? Selfish prick,” she snapped before trying to push past me once more.

In a swift motion, I grabbed her hand and spun her against the closest wall. Her second hand went next so she would not struggle. Pressed against her back, I felt her ass rise up to grind against my cock. I was insanely hard; perhaps turned up by her fiery nature when she was angry.
